New Gates for the Methodist Church

The main front gates at High Town’s Methodist Church disappeared many years ago – possibly as far back as early in the last century.

They have, however, now been replaced with a new set of gates designed to complement the existing decorative wrought iron work that forms the frontage of the Church and adjacent halls.

Not only do the new gates provide an important extra layer of security to the buildings (and to the many people from our community who use them), but they have greatly improved the appearance of the entire frontage - and at the same time have also enhanced the area of High Town once known as ‘Paradise Place’!

Their cost was met by a generous grant from Luton Borough Council’s ‘Your Say, Your way’ funding scheme and the Church is most grateful to them - and to the Strategic Community Services Officers - for the help and support that made their replacement possible.
